The SGS-51xx is a hybrid High-Definition digital video receiver. It is equipped with one digital DVB-x front-end (DB-S2/S or DVB-T2/T) a can provide seamless access to Internet services for either OTT services or for full operator dedicated IP-TV services. It has been designed in order to support a large variety of conditional access and content protection solutions. It can be upgraded to a Digital Video Recorder by connecting a USB external HDD. Adding an USB memory stick also allows having Pause and Time-Shift TV solution in a low cost manner. The SGS-51xx is an ideal quality entry-point decoder or a cost effective “second room” STB.
